12 Different Types of Coated Fabric

Coated fabric, often referred to as functional coated fabrics, is primarily the use of specialized technology to coat a layer of materials with unique functionalities based on the fabric in order to achieve waterproof, windproof, and other functions. The required coating glue particles (PU glue, A/C glue, PVC, and PE glue) are first dissolved in solvent or water to form a saliva shape, which is then applied to the fabric (cotton, polyester, nylon, and other substrates) in a specific way (round net, scraper, or roller) and fixed at a specific temperature in an oven to create a consistent layer of covering glue material on the fabric's surface.

I. PA coating 

It is also known as AC. Rubber coating or acrylic coating is the most popular and widely used type of coating. After coating, products become more supple, windproof, and drape better. 

II. PU coating

It is also known as AC rubber coating, which is another name for acrylic coating, which is the most popular sort of coating and increases feel, windproofing, and drape.

III. Down-proof coating

It is also known as a coating that prevents down from running down after application and is appropriate for down jacket fabric. However, the coating that meets the PA coating's water pressure standards is also known as a down-proof coating.

IV. PA white glue coating

A PA white glue coating, which is a layer of white acrylic resin on the fabric's surface, can increase the fabric's coverage, make it color-impervious, and intensify the color.

V. PU white glue coating

PU white glue coating, that is, in the fabric surface coated with a layer of white polyurethane resin, basically the same role as PA white glue, but PU white glue coated with a richer feel, the fabric is more elastic and better fastness.

VI. PA silver gel coating

XIII. Flame retardant coating
